Assassin's Creed Mirage soon available for the Apple iPhone 15 Pro and iPad at full price
At the launch of the iPhone 15 Pro, Apple announced that Assassin's Creed Mirage would also be released on the App Store. After the game was released on October 5, 2023, for the Sony PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC, Ubisoft has now officially confirmed that the iOS version will be released on June 6, 2024.
The game requires at least the Apple A17 Pro, so it will only run on the current iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The game can also be played on an iPad Pro or an iPad Air as long as the tablet has an Apple M1 or faster. The game can be downloaded free of charge after June 6 and tried out for 90 minutes; if you want to continue playing, you have to unlock the full version via an in-app purchase for $49.99.

This makes the game on iOS exactly the same price as the PC version in the Ubisoft Store. With a download size of 3.8 GB, the game is over 90% smaller on the iPhone than on the PC, which Ubisoft may have achieved primarily through lower-resolution textures. Nevertheless, Ubisoft advertises "breathtaking graphics". The controls have been optimized for the touchscreen of the iPhone 15 Pro.
Interestingly, the iPhone version supports cross-save, meaning that players can continue playing on the go exactly where they left off on their PC or console at home. Ubisoft has not yet confirmed whether the game on the iPhone 15 Pro supports ray tracing or Apple's gaming technologies such as MetalFX Upscaling. The PC version of Assassin's Creed Mirage did not entirely convince critics with a Metascore of 76 out of a possible 100 points, but was praised for a return to the gameplay roots of the series.
