IKEA is rolling out its new ORMANÄS LED lighting strip to more European countries, including the UK, France and Sweden. The gadget launched last year, offering dimmable white and colored lighting. Plus, the bendable light strip with a self-adhesive back is compatible with various smart home ecosystems.

The IKEA ORMANÄS LED lighting strip is now available in more countries. The smart home product was launched in November but was only available in the Netherlands then. Now, customers in other European countries like the UK, France, Spain and Sweden can purchase the device.

The ORMANÄS LED lighting strip is dimmable, with white and colored lighting options. The maximum brightness is 640 lumens, and the top color temperature is 2700K. You can wirelessly control the device with the STRYBAR Remote control or via the IKEA Home Smart app, Amazon Alexa, Apple Home and Google Home when used with the DIRIGERA hub. The light strip is 4 m (~13 ft) long and can be trimmed to smaller lengths with scissors. At 12 mm (~0.5-in) wide and 3 mm (~0.1-in) thick you can use the product to decorate many places in your home, and the bendable material allows it to easily fit around corners. You can quickly fix the light strip in place thanks to a 3M self-adhesive tape backing, and, according to IKEA, the LED lamps should last for around 25,000 hours.

You can buy the IKEA ORMANÄS LED lighting strip for £30.00 in the UK, €24.99 in France, €34.99 in Spain, 399 SEK in Sweden and €29.99 in the Netherlands. Whether or when the product will launch in other markets like the US, Canada, and Australia remains to be seen.
