Husqvarna unveils new Nera robot lawn mowers with EdgeCut technology
Husqvarna has revealed two new robotic lawnmowers in Europe, the 310E Nera and the 410XE Nera. The models have many similarities; for example, they are both designed for a lawn around 1,000 m² (~10,800 ft²) in size and can tackle slopes with inclines up to 30%. As standard, boundaries are defined with a physical wire, though an upgrade to include the EPOS system allows you to set up a virtual map instead.
A key difference between the two robot mowers is the technology, with the 310E featuring quad-search, while the 410XE has penta-search, adding another method to locate the charging station. Each mower is powered by a lithium-ion battery, with a 2Ah capacity in the 310E for a 50-minute mow time and a 5Ah equivalent for the 410XE, doubling the runtime to 100 minutes. The robots will automatically recharge as needed and can be controlled via Husqvarna’s Automower Connect app, thanks to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
You can adjust the cutting height between 20 and 50 mm (~0.8 to 2.0-in), switch on the alarm, and, for the 410XE, track the GPS location of the device. Alternatively, you can use the built-in interface with a color TFT display to change the settings, and the products integrate with various smart home ecosystems. Other features include EdgeCut for a tidy lawn edge, obstacle avoidance and a weather timer. The Husqvarna Automower 310E Nera and 410XE Nera will retail for £1,999/€2,199 and £2,399/€2,699, respectively. If you add the EPOS system, the prices increase to £2,697 and £3,097, respectively. The products will launch in Europe on March 4th.
