IKEA ORMANÄS smart LED strip now available
The IKEA ORMANÄS smart LED strip is now on sale, with a product listing found in the Netherlands. The new smart home device makes it easy to add customizable lighting to your space, allowing you to adjust the mood with dimming and white and colored light options.
The ORMANÄS must be connected to the IKEA DIRIGERA smart home hub, not the TRÅDFRI hub. This allows you to adjust the smart light’s settings in the IKEA Home smart app and control the gadget with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri (Apple) voice commands. You can also use the STYRBAR, costing €9.99, to remotely control the LED strip. The ORMANÄS comes with a driver connecting to a power outlet, and the integrated LED lights do not appear to be replaceable. The LED strip is bendable, can be cut at the places marked, and is backed with 3M adhesive tape.
The device, with article number 404,973.95, is 4 m (~13.1 ft) long, 12 mm (~0.5-in) wide and 3 mm (~0.1-in) thick. Plus, the 5W gadget has a luminous flux of 640 lumens. You can now buy the IKEA ORMANÄS LED strip, smart colored and white spectrum, 4 m in countries like the Netherlands for €29.99. Whether or when IKEA will bring the new product to other markets remains unclear.
