TCL has unveiled the T7G Max 85-in 4K TV in China. The new model follows the T7G 4K TV, which launched in the country earlier this year. The new LCD TV has a peak brightness of 1,100 nits, 100 nits higher than its predecessor, with a 100 level partition backlight for precise controls. The screen has a 144Hz refresh rate, with the TV covering 96% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and supporting Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ formats.
The T7G Max has a built-in 50W 2.1 channel audio system, including a 20W sub-woofer, compatible with Dolby Atmos. TCL suggests that the TV is also suitable for gaming, with support for Dolby Vision Gaming and AMD FreeSync. You can connect gadgets such as game consoles or external speakers via HDMI 2.1 and USB 3.0 ports. The TV uses a quad-core Cortex-A73 processor, with 4+64GB storage and 2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi connectivity. According to TCL, the larger mode has a 98% screen to body ratio.
You can now buy the TCL T7G Max 85-in 4K TV in China for the discounted price of 7,399 yuan (~US$1,011); the gadget has a retail price of 9,999 yuan (~US$1,366), meaning early customers save 2,600 yuan (~US$355). It is unclear whether or when the gadget could launch in other markets.
