Panasonic offering 5-year guarantee for some TVs

Panasonic is offering a 5-year guarantee for many of its televisions in some European countries. The company suggests that the promotion offers peace of mind to customers, who may otherwise worry about the cost of repairs. Typically, Panasonic TVs sold in the region come with a 1-year warranty. 

There is no registration process for the guarantee in Germany and Austria, with Panasonic promising no “hidden conditions”. To benefit from the promotion, customers need to hold onto their proof of purchase for one of the eligible OLED models, like the MZW2004 and MZN1508 series. Customers must have purchased a new, not second-hand, TV between April 1 2023 and December 31 2024, with the offer backdated for those who have already bought a Panasonic TV. A similar deal is offered in the UK for a wide range of 4K Panasonic TVs. A few of the models included in the promotion are the MZ2000, MZ1500 and MX950. There are several differences between the Germany/Austria and UK offers, such as the promotion period from June 19 2023 to December 31 2023. Plus, customers must have bought their new TV from a participating retailer, which excludes John Lewis and AO.com, and they need to claim the extended warranty by January 31 2024.
