The Portronics Pico 12 projector has been launched in India. The DLP model is described as having 4K UHD support, meaning it likely has a 1080p native resolution alongside its 60 Hz refresh rate. An LED light source, expected to last up to 30,000 hours, delivers up to 3,200 lumens brightness.
You can use the Pico 12 to throw images up to 120-in (~305 cm) wide, perfecting the picture with auto keystone correction and a focus wheel. The projector uses Aptoide, an operating system based on Android 11, allowing you to stream content from popular apps like Netflix, Disney+ and YouTube. Ports on the gadget include HDMI, USB-A and infrared (IR), and Bluetooth connectivity allows you to wirelessly screencast. Other features include built-in 5W speakers and touch controls on the top of the device.
The portable model is relatively compact at 11-in (~279 mm) tall and 6.5-in (~165 mm) wide, and weighs 715 g (~25.2 oz). You can now buy the Portronics Pico 12 projector in India for the discounted price of ₹29,999 (~US$360) at the company’s online store, or for ₹27,999 (~US$336) at the brand’s Amazon storefront; the gadget will retail for ₹44,999 (~US$540) when this offer ends. It is unclear whether or when the new model could go on sale in other regions.
