Signify has announced the Philips Radii Wall and Pedestal lights. The products are designed for outdoor use and have integrated motion detection sensors to increase the light's brightness when you arrive home in the dark. Plus, the solar-powered lights have Ultra Efficient technology that makes them more reliable.

The Philips Radii auto-linkable Ultra Efficient solar lights have been revealed. The gadgets have been designed to light up your outdoor space when you get home or leave in the dark. Two designs are offered: the Pedestal light on a short pole and the Wall light to be mounted on your home.

The Radii have two brightness modes, with a softer ambient light generally emitted at night, with the brightness increasing when an integrated sensor detects motion. The lamps are automatically linked when they are first switched on, enabling them to be triggered by a single motion detection sensor and simultaneously brighten. When fully charged, Ultra Efficient technology allows the lights to run for up to six nights or around 40 hours before they need to be exposed to the sun again. The lights are designed for outdoor use, working in temperatures from -20 to 40°C (~-4 to 104°F). Philips claims that the products can also withstand heavy rain and high levels of sun exposure without rust or corrosion. The lights are expected to last for up to 50,000 hours and come with a five-year warranty.

The Philips Radii auto-linkable Ultra Efficient solar pedestal and wall lights will go on sale in the EU in January 2024 for €99.99 and €89.99, respectively. Whether or when the gadgets could launch in other markets, such as the US, remains unclear. In the announcement for the Radii lights, Philips indicated that more solar-powered products were on the way.
