MagyarXiaomi Multi Function Camping Lantern now available in EU
Xiaomi has launched the Multi Function Camping Lantern in some EU countries. The gadget was first seen in China in March, and rumors of an EU launch ramped up over the summer. The device has two parts, a main lantern and a small removable light, stored in the larger lamp's centre. The detachable light doubles as a flashlight and has a hook, allowing you to suspend either this or the combined camping lantern.
You can control settings such as color temperature, with cold, warm and RGB options, and brightness between 6 and 230 lumens. Adjustments can be made using the dial on the front of the lantern, and Bluetooth connectivity allows you to control the light remotely via the Xiaomi Home app. The auxiliary light has an 800 mAh battery, while a 4,800 mAh lithium-ion battery powers the lantern, recharging via USB-C in around 3.5 hours.
The camping light is rated as IP54 dust and water-resistant, meaning it can withstand splashes and making it suitable for outdoor use. The gadget measures 198 x 114 x 123 mm (~7.8 x 4.5 x 4.8-in) and weighs 565 g (~19.9 oz). The Xiaomi Multi Function Camping Lantern retails in France and Germany for €59.99. An in-page coupon in Germany currently offers customers a €5 discount, reducing the price to €54.99. A product listing has also appeared on the Xiaomi Italy website, suggesting that the company will roll out the gadget to more countries shortly.
