Anker Nebula Capsule 3 and Mars 3 Air portable 1080p projectors now available
The Anker Nebula Capsule 3 and Mars 3 Air projectors have launched. The new models were announced in early November, and the brand claims they are the first portable Google TV projectors with built-in Netflix. The gadgets have a 1080p resolution and a 52Wh battery that provides 2.5 hours of movie playtime.
The Capsule 3 has a peak brightness of 200 lumens and a maximum screen size of 120-in (~305 cm). Alternatively, you can use the HDR-compatible Mars 3 Air to produce images up to 150-in (~381 cm) wide with up to 400 lumens brightness. The models also have different sound systems, with the Capsule featuring a single 8W speaker and the Mars Air two 8W speakers and support for Dolby Audio. Both gadgets have autofocus, obstacle avoidance, screen fit and keystone correction tools. Plus, the devices support Bluetooth 5.1 and dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity, with Chromecast screen casting and Google Assistant voice commands.
The Mars 3 Air measures 178 x 122 x 133mm (~7.0 x 4.8 x 5.2-in) and weighs 1.7 kg (~3.7 lbs). The Capsule 3 is more compact, measuring 78 x 78x 160 mm (~3.1 x 3.1 x 6.3-in) and weighing 0.85 kg (~1.9 lbs). You can now buy the Anker Capsule 3 and Nebula Mars 3 Air projectors in the US for US$499.99, US$100 off the US$599.99 RRP. The Anker Nebula Mars 3 Air is also available in Europe for £449.99/€549.99, reduced in price thanks to an in-page voucher for £100/€100. Pre-orders of the Mars 3 will ship from November 29 in the US and December 1 in Europe. The Capsule 3 ships from December 10 in the US, with the European release date remaining unclear. It is also not obvious how long these offers will last.
