Xiaomi has had something of a packed today, having unveiled the Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro, Xiaomi Watch S3 and Xiaomi Watch H1 during the same event. Additionally, the company has introduced the TV S Pro 85, a huge TV that spans 85-inches across. For reference, the TV S Pro 85 sits atop the TV S Pro series, which Xiaomi expanded earlier this month with 65-inch and 75-inch models.
As usual, Xiaomi has equipped its new TV S Pro unit with a 4K panel. According to the company's product page, the TV S Pro 85 natively outputs at 144 Hz or 120 Hz when connected to a modern games console or PC that supports HDMI 2.1. However, enabling gaming mode drops that TV's resolution and increases its refresh rate to 240 Hz, for which it also has 2 ms response times, variable refresh rate (VRR) support and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technology built-in.
Moreover, the TV S Pro 85 has 1,440 Mini LED zones that are said to produce up to 2,400 nits peak brightness. Incidentally, the Smart TV has a pair of 15 W speakers, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage and a chipset packing four ARM Cortex-A73 CPU cores with a Mali-G52 MC1 GPU also in tow. The Xiaomi TV S Pro 85 retails for CNY 7,999 (~US$1,095) in China, where it is already available to pre-order.
