Vankyo is back again with a new projector that is not merely touted as long-lasting and energy-efficient thanks to its up-to-date laser technology, but one that finally challenges a limited pool of premium rivals such as the VAVA Chroma, Dangbei Mars Pro or Wemax Nova on the US market by supporting ALPD 4.0 as well as a 4K resolution.
The OEM also asserts that the T4 can do so at up to 150 inches, with a throw ratio of 0.233 that allows for a placement of 16.7 inches away from its target (an own-brand screen from Amazon, for example) for its maximum size, or just 7.2 inches away for a 100-inch window.
Vankyo backs the T4 for "a remarkable cinematic experience in terms of brightness, color accuracy, and contrast" with a 2,100 ANSI-lumen brightness; 107% of the Rec. 2020 gamut; MEMC and HDR10+ support.
The Vista T4 also boasts triple HDMI ports for inputs, 1 of which also supports ARC for external audio accessories such as speakers. Then again, it also packs its own 60W audio for "dramatic and stunning room-filling sound".
The new Vankyo projector also offers a 3.5mm jack, USB and S/PDIF as I/O options, as well as Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-band Wi-Fi. All of that does not come cheap, however, having been released to the US market via Best Buy, at a starting price of US$3,499.99.
