Onyx has released an updated version of the BOOX Mira Pro, a desktop monitor with an E-ink display. Originating over two years ago, the Mira Pro follows on from the releases of the BOOX Tab Ultra C Pro and the BOOX Note X3. Additionally, Onyx recently introduced the BOOX Note Air3 C, all with 10.3-inch E-ink displays.
By contrast, the Mira Pro measures 25.3-inches across. While the display size remains unchanged, Onyx has now included front lighting for usage in low-light conditions. The monitor still has a 3,200 x 1,800-pixel native resolution though, as well as Oynx's BOOX Super Refresh (BSR) refresh rate technology.
Moreover, Onyx has included DisplayPort, Mini HDMI, HDMI and USB Type-C ports, plus an all-aluminium construction. Onyx has not commented on a global release of the new Mira Pro yet. However, the original model retailed for US$1,799, meaning that the new model will likely be rather expensive too. For now, the updated E-ink monitor is exclusive to China, where it retails for CNY 9,299 (~US$1,278).
