Cooler Master has showcased the GM2711S, a forthcoming 1440p gaming monitor that spans 27-inches across. Not only does the Cooler Master GM2711S have a 180 Hz refresh rate, but it also relies upon Advanced Reflectionless Technology (ART), a combination of anti-glare and anti-reflection treatments designed by AUO.

Cooler Master may be best known for gaming accessories. However, it sells gaming monitors too, such as last year's GM27-CFX and GM34-CWQ. Recently, the company announced the GM34-CWQ2, a successor to the GM34-CWQ, as well as the Mini LED-based Tempest GP2711. Additionally, it has showcased the GM2711S, a 27-inch monitor that it hopes to release in early 2024.

According to TFT Central, Cooler Master has sourced the IPS panel for the GM2711S from AU Optronics (AUO), which also integrates the latter's Advanced Reflectionless Technology (ART). Supposedly, the degree to which ART mitigates glare and reflections allows the GM2711S to run at 20% lower luminosity without compromising visible brightness. Officially, the panel treatment reduces power consumption by up to 60% as a result, although we should stress that this is the word of AUO and not independent reviewers.

As for the GM2711S itself, TFT Central reports that the monitor has a 1440p resolution (2,560 x 1,440), a 180 Hz refresh rate and 350 nits peak brightness. Moreover, Cooler Master rates the monitor for 2 ms GtG response times, 91% Adobe RGB and 95% DCI-P3 colour space coverages, respectively, as well as a 1,000:1 static contrast ratio. The GM2711S should be available in Q1 2024 with HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4 and USB ports for US$299 in the US and £265 in the UK.
