MSI MAG 323UPF released as new 4K Rapid IPS gaming monitor with 160 Hz refresh rate and modern ports
MSI has introduced the MAG 323UPF, a 32-inch gaming monitor that has a bright, colour-accurate and fast 'Rapid IPS' panel. Specifically, the MAG 323UPF is VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified, which ensures 600 nits peak brightness when viewing HDR content and 10-bit colour depth (8-bit+FRC). It is worth noting that the panel will drop to 440 nits with SDR content, though.
Additionally, the MAG 323UPF has a 4K native resolution (3,840 x 2,160) that it pairs with a 160 Hz refresh rate. Moreover, MSI claims that the monitor delivers 1 ms GtG response times and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, as well as 93.6%, 95% and 125.7% AdobeRGB, DCI-P3 and sRGB colour space coverages, respectively. Also, the MAG 323UPF supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro to mitigate image tearing at high frame rates.
MSI charges US$799 for the MAG 323UPF at launch, for which it includes DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, USB Type-A and USB Type-C ports. For reference, the company states that the monitor's twin HDMI 2.1 ports have 48 Gbps bandwidth each, albeit without mentioning HDMI VRR support. Separately, the monitor's sole USB Type-C port can recharge a connected device at up to 90 W. Please see MSI's website for more details.
