Powkiddy X39 Pro refreshed with new translucent purple colour option

Powkiddy has given the X39 Pro a fresh look nearly two months after releasing the RGB30 with a 1:1 display. While the company offered a similar refresh of the RK2023 earlier this year with Wi-Fi connectivity, it has only added a fourth colour option for the X39 Pro. For reference, Powkiddy continues to sell the latter in its existing black, grey and translucent black colour options.

Thus, the new X39 Pro still measures approximately 170 x 80 x 20 mm and has more ports than competing gaming handhelds. As one image below shows, Powkiddy has included two USB Type-A ports for connecting controllers, plus a MicroSD card reader, an HDMI port, a 3.5 mm jack and a top-mounted USB Type-C port. Moreover, the X39 Pro has a usual set of gamepad buttons, the workings of which can be seen through its translucent purple housing.

Furthermore, Powkiddy has equipped the X39 Pro with a 4.5-inch IPS display that outputs at 854 x 480 pixels, 128 MB of DDR2 RAM and an ATM7051 chipset packing four ARM Cortex-A9 CPU cores. Incidentally, the gaming handheld has a 3,000 mAh battery and should be powerful enough to emulate original PlayStation titles. The Powkiddy X39 Pro is available on AliExpress for US$44.99 with a 32 GB MicroSD card in all colours, including its new translucent purple colour option.
