Anker has launched another balcony power plant with a new solar panel in Germany, the SOLIX RS50B. The kit includes two RS50B solar panels, an MI80 micro inverter and a 5m Schuko charging cable. The microinverter is currently limited to 600W, with a free OTA upgrade to 800W shortly.
The 540W panels, generating a combined 1,080W output, have a 23% conversion rate, which the brand suggests is 35% higher than other models. The RS50B also has a 25-year life expectancy and 84.8% efficiency. Anker claims that you can use the power plant to generate up to 1,092 kWh and thus reduce your energy bills by up to €437 a year. You can track the power generation in real-time thanks to the Anker app, where you can also download OTA updates for the device. The company suggests that you can set up the power plant in around two hours without the help of a professional.
Anker offers two further bundles with the RS50B, the first adding two-floor brackets. The most expensive bundle includes the brackets and storage via the SOLIX Solarbank E1600, which the brand claims is the world's first 6,000-cycle storage system. You can now buy the Anker SOLIX Balcony Power Plant RS50B via Amazon in Germany for €749. The kit, including brackets, costs €849, and the bundle with the E1600 Solarbank retails for €1,748. It is unclear whether or when the product could launch in other countries.
