New Anker SOLIX C800 and C800 Plus portable power stations leak
Two new Anker portable power stations have been leaked, the SOLIX C800 and SOLIX C800 Plus. Update version 1.8.2 for the Anker iOS app confirmed compatibility for the two new products, which are also on the list of supported devices for the Android app. The only other information about the new Anker SOLIX C800 series comes from the Good Design Awards website; the C800 Plus was a 2023 award winner in Australia.
Images show a similar design to the SOLIX C1000, which is launching soon. The new product has three AC outlets, two USB-C and two USB-A ports, with Anker claiming it is compatible with 89% of outdoor appliances. Given the device's name, presumably, it has a battery capacity of around 800Wh; the company suggests HyperFlash technology allows you to fully recharge the power pack in 55 minutes, 21% faster than comparable products. Charging options include AC, DC and 400W solar inputs, and the device has a built-in lightbar.
An unusual feature of the C800 Plus is a 1 m (~3.3 ft) retractable pole stored inside the top of the device. Anker suggests using this as a tripod, selfie stick, hanger or lamp. When the Anker SOLIX C800 and SOLIX C800 Plus portable power stations will go on sale and how much they will cost remains unclear. How exactly the C800 and C800 Plus models will differ is also uncertain.
