Reolink has released solar-powered versions of its home security cameras in the past; however, the OEM touts the latest examples of these as the most advanced yet, with an upgrade from FHD resolutions to 4K/UHD.
The new 4K Solar Camera Series also comprises the latest additions to the Reolink Argus line: the 3 Ultra, PT Ultra and Eco Ultra variants. The former packs an 8MP Color Night Vision sensor and dual-band Wi-Fi along with its new resolution and 6W of solar power via its own panel, whereas the PT Ultra is the pan-tilt version of the same.
The Eco Ultra, on the other hand, augments its IR Night Vision with 2W/6,500 kelvin (K) dedicated spotlights. For those who would prefer independent 4G/LTE to go with their new solar 4K PT security camera, however, the new Go PT Ultra might be for them.
Those specs makes the latest Go-series camera the most expensive of its new range, however, at a starting price of US$249.99. The Argus 3 Ultra and Eco Ultra have an RRP of US$169.99, whereas the Argus PT Ultra starts at US$199.99.
Most of the 4K Solar Camera Series are available through vendors such as Amazon already, although they are also listed on reolink.com with discounts of up to 25% for a limited time.
