The UGREEN DisplayPort Switch 8K is now available in the US via Amazon. The bidirectional device has three DP 1.4 ports, allowing you to switch between multiple inputs or outputs easily. Features include support for an 8K@30Hz resolution, Dolby Vision and AMD FreeSync technologies.

UGREEN has launched the DisplayPort Switch 8K in the US. The model is a two-way DisplayPort 1.4 splitter, allowing you to feed two sources into one monitor or to use one source and switch between two monitors. The gadget supports 8K@30Hz, 4K@240Hz and 2K@144Hz resolutions, with a transfer rate of up to 32.4 Gbps. 

The DisplayPort Switch 8K is compatible with dynamic HDR Chroma, Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HDCP 2.2 and 2.3 for a detailed picture. Plus, support for variable refresh rate AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-SYNC ensures low latency gaming and a smoother image. The new UGREEN device is can be used with many devices featuring a standard DisplayPort like computers, laptops, game consoles, NVIDIA RTX graphics cards, AMD Radeon RX graphics cards, HDTV and Fire TV. Gadgets running Windows, Linux and macOS are supported, with suggested use cases such as with your home theatre system, in conference rooms and in schools.

The switch comes with a 3.3 ft (~1 m) DP cable and a 3.3 ft (~1 m) USB-A to USB-C power cable; a built-in indicator light shows when the device is powered and working. You can buy the new UGREEN DisplayPort Switch 8K in the US via Amazon for US$29.99. An on-page coupon currently offers customers a 10% discount, reducing the price to US$26.99. Whether or when the gadget could launch in other markets remains unclear.
