Mobvoi may be best known as a wearables brand; however, it is also breaking into the market for smart-home gadgets. The latest of these is the LifeSmart outdoor camera. It supports footage at HD or FHD resolutions, has an IR night-vision mode and a 110-degree field of view.

Mobvoi has released a new product; however, it is not a smartwatch or a pair of TWS earbuds as normal. Instead, it is a new player in the smart-home security camera game. With its IP66 ingress-protection rating, this new LifeSmart unit is designed for outdoor use.

The device also offers a choice of connectivity via either Wi-Fi or an Ethernet cable. In the case of the former, it is rated to work from 100 meters (m) away from a user's device. It can send telemetry based on motion detection and its IR mode for night-time use.

The new Mobvoi camera also supports two-way audio, an alarm that responds to sounds or light and voice pick up. Unlike some other truly-wireless options on the market, it powers from the mains via a DC 12V/1A supply. It is currently available for US$85.99 per unit on the Mobvoi website.
