Mobvoi has had a busy year. The company has already released the TicPods 2 and TicPods 2 Pro, which it announced in January at CES 2020 in Las Vegas. While these TWS earbuds included many exciting improvements over their predecessors, neither support active noise cancellation (ANC). The TicPods 2 and TicPods 2 Pro are considerably cheaper than earbuds with ANC, though. While the TicPods 2 and TicPods 2 Pro retail for US$99.99 and US$139.99 respectively, something like the Apple AirPods Pro retail for US$249.99.
Nonetheless, TicPods has now released some earbuds with ANC, and at less than it charges for either the TicPods 2 or TicPods 2 Pro. Appropriately called the TicPods ANC, the earbuds feature 13 mm drivers, IPX5 certification to protect against sweat and splashing water, along with support for Google Assistant and Siri. Mobvoi has also included a touch-sensitive surface on the outside of each earbud that can be used to answer calls or control audio playback.
Mobvoi claims that the TicPods ANC should last up to 4:30 hours with ANC activated and an additional 30 minutes with ANC deactivated. The included charging case, which recharges via USB Type-C, should provide "more than two full charges to the earbuds". So, you should get around 21 hours of talk time or music playback before you need to recharge the charging case. The TicPods ANC support Bluetooth 5.0 and should be compatible with the Mobvoi app.
The TicPods ANC is currently available to order directly from Mobvoi for US$89.99. The earbuds should soon be available to order from third-party retailers like Amazon, though.
