Mobvoi is a wearable and smart-thing OEM that makes the WearOS-powered TicWatch series. It has announced that customers who order from its own web-store using PayPal will get a 10% discount. This, for example, would bring the price of its latest Pro 2020 model down by nearly US$26.
Deirdre O'Donnell,

There is an ever-increasing number of smartwatches with advanced features such as health-tracking, IP ratings and smart assistant integration out there. Mobvoi may have made a choice between them by announcing a 10% discount for those who use PayPal while ordering such a device through mobvoi.com. The OEM has mentioned this is a limited-time offer, if not its exact duration.

This, for example, would reduce the new TicWatch Pro 2020 from its regular cost of US$249.99 to $225. This wearable has a dual FSTN/OLED display, which functions to stretch its battery life to as long as 5 days. It also offers a RAM upgrade of 1GB compared to its immediate predecessor's 512MB.

Those looking for a less elaborate and expensive round-faced wearable could also consider the TicWatch E2, S2 or C2. The latter, which features a stainless-steel case and the Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor, is also currently on sale for $149.99 rather than its usual $199.99.

Alternatively, Mobvoi also does its almost de facto line of TWS earbuds. The TicPods line is a slightly more chunky take on the AirPod-clone form factor, albeit one with a greater range of colors including pink or navy. The latest of these, the 2 series, have specs such as an in-house voice assistant, Bluetooth 5.0 and head-motion-based controls in the Pro variant.

Deirdre O'Donnell
I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
