Mobvoi TicPods 2 Pro Plus: Modest changes from the TicPods 2 Pro for US$139.99
Mobvoi has released another alternative to the Apple AirPods, the TicPods 2 Pro Plus. Setting aside that mouthful of a name, the new earbuds feature a few changes from the TicPods 2 Pro. Firstly, each earbud can now be used independently, something that was lacking from the TicPods 2 Pro.
Additionally, volume can now be adjusted using voice controls and the charging case now looks more premium than the one that Mobvoi included with the TicPods 2 Pro. However, little else has changed. The TWS earbuds still support aptX, AAC and SBC and are based on Qualcomm's QCC5121 Bluetooth 5.0 chip, the same one on which Mobvoi based the TicPods 2 Pro.
Similarly, the TicPods 2 Pro Plus is IPX4 certified, have up to 20 hours battery life and lack active noise cancellation (ANC). Other features from the TicPods 2 Pro return too, like TicHear Quick-Commands 2.0 and TicMotion head gesture controls.
The Mobvoi TicPods 2 Pro Plus is available in Navy or Ice for US$139.99. Mobvoi sells the earbuds in other markets like the UK and the Eurozone, also.
