Nintendo reminds Fortnite fans about the Switch with a Fortnite Special Edition of the handheld console
Apple may have expunged Fortnite from its App Store, but Nintendo has announced a Special Edition of the Switch to celebrate the Battle Royale game. Naturally, Fortnite comes already pre-installed on the console, although it is a free download from the Nintendo eShop.
The Fortnite Special Edition console also includes 2,000 V-Bucks and the Wildcat bundle. The latter is a Nintendo Switch exclusive and features the Wildcat outfit, two additional styles, a Sleek Strike Back Bling and two additional styles.

It would not be a Nintendo Switch Special Edition console without the inclusion of custom designs, though. Nintendo has gone all out too, with unique designs for the Joy-Cons, Dock and console itself. Even the Fortnite Bus makes an appearance.
Fortnite is the most downloaded game on the Switch in Europe since the game's launch in 2018, so it is not all that surprising to see Nintendo release a Special Edition console. The company has confirmed that the Fortnite Special Edition will retail for AU$469.95, but it is yet to release prices for Europe or New Zealand. Nintendo charges AU$469.95 for the regular console, though. However, it seems that the Fortnite Special Edition will not be making it to other markets like the US.
