The AYA NEO will be available globally for as little as US$699 from February
A few months have passed since AYA unveiled the NEO, a handheld console built on AMD's Ryzen 5 4500U APU. Since then, the AYA NEO Founder has been shown to average 30-35 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077, albeit probably at minimum quality settings. AYA originally chose the sell the NEO Founder in China, but now the company has announced that it will be releasing the device globally via Indiegogo. According to a tweet, the crowdfunding campaign will begin in February and run for 30 days.
AYA estimates that it will begin shipping devices in April 2021, but it is yet to reveal the full pricing and configurations that will be available. Currently, the company has only confirmed that the Super Early Bird backer price will be US$699. Presumably, AYA will price other backer levels at US$799 or higher, but we cannot guarantee this.
The AYA NEO Founder includes a Radeon RX Vega 6 GPU with 6 Compute Units and up to 1.1 TFLOPs of performance. The Vega 6 GPU powers a 7-inch display running at 1,280 x 800 pixels, which explains why it can hit over 30 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077. The machine also has 16 GB of LPDDR4x-4266 RAM, a 512 GB NVMe SSD and a 47 Wh battery. The AYA NEO will compete against the GPD Win3, which recently launched on Indiegogo.
