The AYA NEO has hit another snag on its way to Indiegogo. Last month, the company announced that mould issues had forced it to postpone the console's delivery date until March 10. At the time, it insisted that the mould issues had not affected its Indiegogo launch date, which remained sometime in February.
However, AYA has since announced that it has chosen to delay its Indiegogo campaign, too. The company seemingly cites factories closing because of Chinese New Year for the delay, although it should have foreseen that, in our opinion. AYA insists that the revised launch date remains March 10, though.
Unfortunately, it is still unclear when the crowdfunding campaign will begin. AYA states that it will contact 'our fans and subscribers directly by email' before the campaign commences, but we currently only have a vague 'after the Chinese New Year holiday' to go off.
The AYA NEO is expected to launch for US$699 with an AMD Ryzen 5 4600U APU. The device also has 16 GB of RAM, a 7-inch IPS display and a 512 GB NVMe SSD. AYA has included a 12,300 mAh battery and stereo speakers, too.
