The Amazfit Ares, produced by the Xiaomi subsidiary Huami, is clearly targeted at users who enjoy outdoors activities. The rugged smartwatch with its distinctive octagonal face is waterproof to 5 ATM and features a Gorilla Glass 3 display. With 70 sport modes available to the user, from running to cycling and skiing, the Amazfit Ares should cater to those who are going to be active over potentially rough terrain and in inclement weather conditions.

The Xiaomi Amazfit Ares smartwatch has a bright 1.28-inch color touchscreen, as can be seen in the real-life unboxed photos posted below. The display has a 176x176 resolution and is surrounded by a polycarbonate casing. The price of the Amazfit Ares on the Chinese market is 499 yuan (US$70) with sales expected to begin on June 1.
