Xiaomi Mi Scooters: Leaked details and pictures confirm imminent arrival of Mi Scooter 1S and Mi Scooter Pro 2
Xiaomi appears to be on the verge of releasing two new electric scooters. Leaked by Roland Quandt and WinFuture, the scooters will fall under Xiaomi's "Mi Scooter" range. Called the 1S and Pro 2, Quandt claims that the two will sell for €499 and around €600, respectively.
While this pricing may only be applicable to Germany, we would expect Xiaomi to release the two scooters in other European countries. Xiaomi also sells Mi Scooters in the UK, so the 1S and Pro 2 could replace the Mi 365 series there, too.
According to Quandt, both scooters will have 300 W motors that can reach 600 W and will be capable of travelling at up to 20 km/h. However, the Pro 2 will weigh 1.7 kg more than the 1S because of its larger battery. Weighing 14.2 kg, the Pro 2 will have a 474 Wh battery that will yield a range of up to 45 km. It will also be capable of climbing 20% gradients.
By contrast, the 1S will achieve a 30 km range from its 275 Wh battery and will only be able to climb 14% gradients. Both models will have colour displays, though.
It is unclear when Xiaomi will release the 1S or Pro 2. However, Xiaomi has run down its Mi 365 stock in the UK, so we do not imagine the company is far off from making an announcement.
