Xiaomi has been teasing the Redmi 10X series again, this time the Redmi 10X Pro. Set to launch on May 26, Xiaomi has already confirmed that the Redmi 10X series will be the first smartphones to feature the Dimensity 820, MediaTek's latest SoC. Additionally, Xiaomi is bringing dual 5G connectivity to its latest Redmi smartphones, along with Samsung OLED panels.
Now, Xiaomi has confirmed that at least the Redmi 10X Pro will support optical image stabilisation (OIS) and 30x digital zoom. The company has showcased camera samples too, which we have included below. The photos all look detailed bar the one showcasing the device's 30x zoom. As with all marketing imagery, we would caution against judging the camera capabilities of the Redmi 10X Pro until reviewers perform independent tests. There is no way to tell whether these have been tweaked in post-production.
The Redmi 10X Pro will have a fingerprint scanner under its 6.57-inch AMOLED panel, along with a 4,500 mAh battery that supports up to 33 W fast wired charging. Moreover, the device will have an NFC chip, an IR blaster and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Separately, @xiaomishka claims that Xiaomi will price the Redmi 10X 5G at CNY 1,499, which equates to around US$210 including taxes at current exchange rates. By contrast, the Redmi 10X Pro is expected to retail for over 2,000 CNY (~US$281).
