Lenovo US has finally made the IdeaPad Slim 7 available for purchase. The laptop, which is known as the Yoga Slim 7 in other markets, has made numerous appearances in benchmarks where it has performed minor miracles thanks to the presence of its AMD Ryzen 7 4700U APU. Now, US shoppers can pick up the Renoir-based IdeaPad, which measures 12.62 x 8.18 x 0.58 inches/ 320.6 x 208 x 14.9 mm, from US$899.99.
The svelte IdeaPad Slim 7 is bound to set some mouths watering with its list of tasty specifications. Along with the 8-core Ryzen 7 4700U, this particular US$899.99 SKU comes with 8 GB of RAM @4266 MHz (soldered), 512 GB SSD, 802.11ax (2x2) Wi-Fi capability, and a 14-inch Full HD IPS screen (glossy). The Zen 2-powered laptop offers up to 14 hours of battery life and weighs a puny 3.08 lbs/1.4 kg. It’s a mobile warrior for users who want Ryzen 4000 performance in the thinnest package.
Unfortunately, it seems other markets such as the UK and Germany, where the laptop is called the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7, will have to wait a bit longer. For example, the Yoga Slim 7 is currently advertised for pre-order on Notebooksbilliger, but it’s expected to be available by probably mid to late June. However, for €999 (US$1,089) users can get hold of the Yoga Slim 7 laptop and Ryzen 7 4700U with a very handy 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD included.
