The Weibo site for Lenovo Yoga has revealed when the AMD Ryzen 4000 Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 laptop will finally go on sale. The date to mark on calendars is May 16; however, this may just be for Lenovo’s domestic market of China as the announcement was made on a Chinese-language social network. But a global release for the ultrabook should be expected soon.
The same post also states that there will be a public pre-sale for the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 that will begin on May 11. One configuration of the upcoming 14-inch device, which is fitted with the AMD Ryzen 7 4800U, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, and integrated Radeon Graphics, will be initially priced at 4,999 yuan (US$708) before rising to its normal price of 5,499 yuan (US$779).
The UK website for Lenovo has the 14-inch variant of the Yoga Slim 7 (AMD) listed simply as “coming soon” and gives users the opportunity to sign up for notifications. It is believed the delay in availability of the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 was caused directly and indirectly by the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, including factors such as lockdowns and supply issues. The Yoga Slim 7 with AMD Ryzen 7 4800 APU has already shown itself off to be something of a performance star, so it should be worth the additional wait. The laptop is expected to have a starting price of US$850 when it finally comes to the US market.
