Lenovo has released more details of a new addition to the IdeaPad Slim 7 line of notebooks. This one is powered by the Core i7-10750H processor, rather than the Ryzen 7 4700U like its 14-inch counterpart. However, the OEM has included dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics here...even if it is an older card.

Lenovo has revealed the IdeaPad Slim 7 GTX's specs on its US site. This notebook, unlike the first machine to be released under this line, has an Intel Core i7-10750H processor rather than the potentially superior Ryzen 7 4700U. Then again, the newer, 15-inch model has a GTX card rather than integrated AMD graphics.

Any excitement at this spec may be curbed, however, by the discovery that these graphics are 4GB of the GTX 1060 variety. Nevertheless, this makes for a slightly more gamer-y than average IdeaPad, although one would hardly know it from its restrained Slate Gray chassis.

The PC also features more up-to-date specs such as Wi-Fi 6, 100% of the sRGB color gamut in its FHD 300-nit screen and 1 type C port that supports the USB 3.2 Gen 2, Thunderbolt, Power Delivery and DisplayPort standards.

Therefore, the IdeaPad Slim 7 GTX may be for those who want an ultrabook that can cover a wide range of uses right now with a nod to future-proofing in the longer term. Unfortunately, Lenovo has not yet dropped hints as to a price that could help underpin that impression.
