The Lilygo TTGo T-Watch K210 is, in a sense, a starting point for a smartwatch project. The ESP32-based device boasts plenty of hardware, with Lilygo having included a 1.54-inch touchscreen display, 16 MB of QSPI flash storage and a camera among other components. However, please keep in mind that the K210 does not include a battery, which is a factor that we would need overcoming if you want to use the device without it being connected to the mains. The K210 weighs around 60 g and is 46.43 mm thick, for reference.
Lilygo has based the K210 on an ESP32-PICO-D4 chip, which the company has complemented with 4 MB of RAM. The device also supports up to 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi at a maximum transfer speed of 150 Mbps and Bluetooth 4.2. Hence, the K210 should be programable without needing to be connected to your computer via a USB cable.
An AI co-processor joins the ESP32 chip. Lilygo has opted for a Kendryte K210 RISC-V processor, which includes two cores. The 64-bit co-processor also has an FPU and 8 MB of SRAM. Additional sensors and actuators can be connected to the T-Watch K210 too. The device runs on FreeRTOS and is available to order from AliExpress or Amazon. The full list of hardware that Lilygo has included in the T-Watch K210 is as follows:
