Update: Now live | Amazfit will launch its ZenBuds via Indiegogo at the end of June 2020
Update: The Amazfit ZenBuds' page is now active on Indiegogo. They start at US$69 (correct at time of writing), an early-bird price that includes worldwide shipping. Despite their freshly-launched status, they have already amassed about 320% of their original $20,000 goal.
Huami's increasingly popular health-wearables brand Amazfit introduced its ZenBuds way back at CES 2020. The brand claims that these TWS earbuds are designed to be worn during sleep in order to help the user improve on this particular health metric. To this end, they have been developed to be as small and light as possible, while still containing a Knowles balanced armature and a noise-smothering design.
These attributes may have helped these earphones to win an iF Design Award this year. Amazfit also intends that the ZenBuds be on and playing audio, albeit a soothing sequence of sounds apparently optimized to boost sleep, while in use. Conversely, they have also been developed to exclude stress-inducing environmental noise as the user desires.
Amazfit has announced that it will launch these audio devices via Indiegogo, as it did with its curved-display smartwatch the X. The product will go live on this platform at 9:00 Pacific time (or 18:00 Central European Time (CET)) on June 30, 2020.
The brand has indicated that the ZenBuds will start at US$69 for "super early bird backers". As with the Amazfit X, Huami has created a private Facebook group for this campaign that may afford easy access to its links and possible special offers.
