The Amazfit ZenBuds make over US$1 million in crowdfunding
The increasingly popular wearables OEM Huami has taken to launching products from its premier brand Amazfit on crowdfunding websites. The latest of these is the ZenBuds, which, according to their maker, have been designed with ergonomics that allow them to be worn while the user sleeps.
The buds may achieve this through "ultra-stretchy" silicon ear-tips that lead to exceptionally small, apparently unobstrusive TWS earbuds. They are rated for up to 12 hours of battery life, which may allow them to emit "curated sounds (including White Noise, Forest Sounds and Distant Stars) that trigger the sleep cycle" throughout the night.
The ZenBuds also support sleep tracking and analysis via Amazfit's app. The OEM also claims that they are also useful during the day, in that they can also generate sounds that promote "focus" during the day.
The crowdfunding campaign for these truly wireless accessories has now crossed the US$1 million mark, attracting over 12,000 backers in the process. Currently, Amazfit projects that units procured as a result will ship from September 2020.
