Huami has chosen a retro style for the design of its new Amazfit Neo smartwatch, which has now appeared on the AliExpress website for sale. The wearable, which is available with a black or orange strap (and green in some regions), is bursting with features that should help make it attractive to customers who want something that can handle tough environments and is also strangely reminiscent of Casio watches from the 1980s.
In terms of functionality, Huami Amazfit Neo buyers can expect to find a heart-rate monitor, sleep tracker, PAI assistance (Personal Activity Intelligence), sport modes, exercise tracking, and the usual smartphone synchronization that smartwatches generally offer. The Amazfit Neo utilizes the Zepp app and can work with Android 5.0 or iOS 10.0 and above supported devices.
One of the standout features of the Amazfit Neo smartwatch is the claimed battery life, which can typically last up to 28 days. This apparently increases to 37 days in power-saving mode. The Neo is priced at US$49.99 but by using coupons on AliExpress such as AMAZFITNEO (US$8) and a store voucher (US$2), international shoppers can purchase the device for US$39.99.
