The Amazfit Bip S is finally getting a release, almost six months on from its announcement at CES 2020 in January. Originally due to launch in February, XDA Developers now claims that the Amazfit Bip S will launch in India on June 3. There is no word yet on an international release, but we would expect that one will still follow.
The Bip S features a 1.28-inch transflective colour TFT panel that operates at 176 x 176 pixels. The watch itself measures just 42 x 35.3 x 11.4 mm and weighs 19 g. The smartwatch supports Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS and is waterproof up to 5 ATM.
According to the manufacturer, its 200 mAh battery should yield up to 40 days battery life, or 20 hours with GPS left on. The Bip S charges magnetically and theoretically needs up to 2:30 hours for a full charge.
The Bip S is compatible with devices running Android 5.0 and iOS 10.0 or above. The smartwatch supports 10 sports modes and can communicate with devices via Bluetooth 5.0.
