Last month, the Mobvoi TicWatch C2 finally became available for purchase in the United States. Sadly, the TicWatch E2 — which was unveiled some time ago — is nowhere to be found yet. However, Mobvoi is showing it at CES next to a new smart wearable, namely the TicWatch S2.
The Chinese brand that made its debut via Kickstarter has now quite a few products under its sleeve, including the TicWatch Express, Pro, Sport, C2, and the two aforementioned wearables that should hit the market next. The TicWatch E2 and S2 are second-generation Express and Sport smartwatches by Mobvoi and most of their specs are identical: Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor, 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 400 x 400 pixels, 415 mAh battery, and 22 mm silicone wrist straps.
The main difference between the E2 and S2 is their size, the E2 being slightly larger. In addition to the above, both also have the same swim-monitoring capabilities, GPS, and heart-rate sensors. Both are 5 ATM waterproof, taking the water protection to a higher level than the IP67 rating of their predecessors.
The Mobvoi TicWatch S2 and E2 are expected to hit the market in black, but the S2 will also get a white version after a while. The prices will probably be around the US$200 mark, but this is something that still needs to be confirmed by Mobvoi. Since there is no official launch date to talk about yet, we will probably hear more about these two upcoming wearables soon.
