Mobvoi's first LTE-enabled smartwatch has been launched in Europe. This version of the TicWatch Pro offers the possibility of mobile data independent of a smartphone, albeit at a higher cost compared to its Wi-Fi/Bluetooth-only counterpart. However, its SIM (which is built into the watch) works in only 1 country of its new region thus far.
Nevertheless, the TicWatch Pro 4G/LTE can still be ordered from a range of European states on its maker's website, or on their corresponding Amazon sites. Therefore, more carriers besides Vodafone Germany may offer the facility to activate it in the future. Alternatively, a consumer could consider this smartwatch's other variant.
This TicWatch Pro has most of the same functions and specs (such as a heart-rate monitor, Google Pay support and the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 SoC) as the 4G/LTE model, but costs €249.99 (~$276) whereas the second model costs €80 (about $89) more. The Wi-Fi only variant also has an additional color option - Liquid Metal Silver - whereas its 4G-enabled sibling is restricted to black.
