Some new promos distributed by the health- and/or fitness-focused device OEM Mobvoi hint at the imminent release of the GTH, a new smartwatch. Unlike its predecessors, it seems this upcoming device will be the TicWatch brand's first-ever Apple Watch- (or Amazfit GTS-) clone.
Unfortunately for the surprise factor of the new Mobvoi launch event, the TicWatch GTH appears to have surfaced on AliExpress ahead of its launch. It, in conjunction with another leak from the ChineseSmartwatches blog, spoils the reveal that the GTH's square display will measure 1.55 inches across, and will have a 360x240 resolution.
Its possibly 5ATM-resistant chassis is also now alleged to contain a 260mAh battery rated for about 10 days of use between charges. Its new tips also point to a bunch of up-to-date health-monitoring sensors, including those for heart-rate, blood oxygen and even blood pressure, although those details may depend on confirmation from Mobvoi.
On that note, the GTH's new leaks also point to the ability to take the user's temperature. This prediction may be more likely to be accurate, if Mobvoi's name for its latest hype campaign is anything to go by.
This "TicTEMP challenge" is a Twitter-based competition offering the chance to win a GTH ahead of its release. It starts today (April 11, 2021) and runs for the 2 days running up to the new wearable's launch. Aspiring entrants need only follow the instructions in its current post for a shot at a free smartwatch.
