iTouch launches its Sport 2 Smartwatch with a new body-temperature sensor
iTouch is the "#2 best selling smartwatch brand in America" as per NPD's 2019 Retail Data (according to this company, at least). It has released its second-gen Sport-series device just in time for the 2020 winter holidays, already asserting that it is "the most powerful wearable fitness tools on the market".
This may be due to its new ability to measure body temperature, and to alert the user to spikes in this metric (which may be more relevant in the Covid-19 pandemic era). Besides this, it is asserted that the Sport 2 is equipped with almost obligatory fitness-wearable features such as workout modes, breathing-exercise coaching and hydration reminders, as well as a "hygiene assistant", which, hopefully, means it prompts the user to wash their hands periodically.
Then again, iTouch does not supply much more information for this new product, even on its own website. Its predecessor had GPS and a blood-oxygen sensor; however, it is not clear whether they are also present in the Sport 2 or not. Similarly, its dimensions, screen type, pixel density and software are not given.
Then again, the brand does mention that it supports "full integration with Apple Health, iOS and Android notifications and the most popular fitness apps". In addition, its battery is apparently rated for up to no less than 30 days of continuous use. This new wearable is currently discounted to US$59.99 on its first-party platform, although it is out of stock at present.
