The C3X is an external home-security camera of the type that integrates AI so as to distinguish potentially dangerous moving objects such as people and cars in the vicinity from others such as animals. Its maker EZVIZ also claims it has extreme low-light capabilities and color night vision. It is now on sale in the UK for a price of about US$194.

EZVIZ has announced a new security camera, the C3X. The brand describes it as a "Dual-Lens" outdoor product as it supports night vision as well as typcial FHD (1080p) daytime video. Furthermore, this low-light performance (apparently tested at 0.005 lux internally) can be set to "natural" color rather than monochrome.

The IP67-rated C3X is equipped with dual antennas as it connects to a user's devices via dual-band Wi-Fi. It also supports notifications to the same screens, a process that can be filtered using the camera's in-built AI that can tell between disturbances of different potential import (people or cars coming into its view rather than wild animals, for example).

The new EZVIZ camera also packs a strobe light and siren in order to function as a proximity alarm. It also supports the ability to set a voice-recording of the user's choice as an intrusion-deterrent. It can also integrate with Google Home or Amazon Alexa smart-home products.

The C3X comes with the option of sending its recordings to EZVIZ' cloud service; alternatively, it supports microSD cards of up to 256GB in size. It has been released just in time for the UK's National Home Security Month, and is available from the retailers AO, Very or Robert Dyas for a recommended price of £149.99.
