The Onyx BOOX Note X3 is one of the company's many new large E-readers that runs Android. Available already in some markets, the Note X3 has a 4,600 mAh battery, among other features.

Onyx has begun selling the BOOX Note X3 in China, a few days after the company introduced two new E-readers in Europe and the US. According to its website, the BOOX Note X3 runs Android 12 and relies upon a 10.3-inch display, a popular screen size for Onyx BOOX E-readers of late. For reference, Onyx equips the BOOX Note X3 with a Kaleido 3 E-ink panel that has a 227 PPI pixel density and up to 12% improved light distribution compared to older models.

Additionally, the E-reader has a Qualcomm chipset with an octa-core CPU that operates at up to 2.4 GHz. As always, Onyx does not name the chipset powering the BOOX Note X3 on its website, which implies it is a relatively low-powered option. Moreover, the company equips the E-reader with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of expandable storage, as well as a 4,600 mAh battery.

Ultimately, the BOOX Note X3 shares many of its specifications with the BOOX Note Air3 C. However, the former has a significantly larger battery than the latter, which Onyx equips with a 3,000 mAh cell instead. Also, the BOOX Note X3 retails for CNY 2,699 (~US$369) in China, compared to the US$499.99 that Onyx charges for the BOOX Note Air3 C in the US. Currently, it remains to be seen whether Onyx will sell the BOOX Note X3 globally, although that often proves the case eventually.
