Onyx has introduced the BOOX Note Air3 C, a cheaper alternative to the BOOX Tab Ultra C Pro that the company also announced today. As such, the BOOX Note Air3 C has a scaled-down feature set compared to the BOOX Tab Ultra C Pro, albeit still with an octa-core CPU that operates at up to 2.8 GHz. Likewise, the BOOX Note Air3 C has a Kaleido 3 E-ink display that measures 10.3-inches across and supports colour reproduction.
Like the BOOX Tab Ultra C Pro, the BOOX Note Air3 C delivers 300 PPI when in black and white mode (2,480 x 1,860) but just 150 PPI (1,240 x 930) in colour mode. Additionally, the cheaper model runs Android 12, has a 3,700 mAh battery, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage that can be expanded with a MicroSD card. According to Onyx, the BOOX Note Air3 C weighs 430 g and is approximately 5.8 mm thick, which undercuts the BOOX Tab Ultra C Pro in both regards.
The BOOX Note Air3 C is already orderable from Onyx's website. Currently, the company is selling the device for US$499.99. However, the E-reader can be purchased with a BOOX Pen2 Pro for a combined US$547.99, a US$30 discount on their combined MSRPs. The same applies in the Eurozone, where the BOOX Note Air3 C retails for €549.99. Please see Onyx's website for more details.
