Wacom is expanding its range of graphic tablets with integrated displays with two more models. Compared to the Cintiq Pro 27, these are significantly more compact and are thus also aimed at people who either want to use their system semi-mobile - or do not have enough space or even financial resources.

Wacom offers two new digital pen displays. The two models Wacom Cintiq Pro 17 and Wacom Cintiq Pro 22 are, so to speak, the little siblings of the Cintiq Pro 27. However, their range of functions is still supposed to meet the highest demands.

The resolution of the two smaller models is identical to the Cintiq Pro 27 and is an impressive 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. The screen diagonals are 17.3 and 21.5 inches, respectively. In each case, 1.07 billion colors can be reproduced, with the Cintiq Pro 22 covering 95 percent of the Adobe RGB color space and the smaller Cintiq Pro 17 covering 88 percent. The DCI-P3 color space is covered by 99 percent in each case. There is a Pantone and also a Pantone SkinTone validation - so graphic designers can also be sure that there will be no nasty surprises in terms of colors when printing. The brightness is rated at 400 cd/m² (Cintiq Pro 17) and 300 cd/m² (Cintiq Pro 22), respectively, and the screens support a 120 Hz refresh rate.

The displays each have eight keys that can also be configured for specific applications, allowing various tools in image editing software to be launched particularly quickly, for example. The Wacom Pro Pen 3 with its three freely configurable side buttons is used for input. Grip strength, weight, and weight distribution can be adjusted. The pen is supposed to be able to recognize 8,192 pressure levels - other systems often only offer half that.

The monitors can be connected via USB Type-C, HDMI, and Mini-DIsplayPort. A stand is already included in the Cintiq Pro 17, while this has to be purchased separately for the Cintiq Pro 22. VESA mounts are available in each case. The Cintiq Pro 17 is priced at just under 2,700 euros, and the Cintiq Pro 22 at 3,300 euros - although the larger version is not scheduled to be launched until December.

Possible, much cheaper alternative: Buy the Wacom Cintiq 22 at Amazon
