Xiaomi is expected to shortly launch the Outdoor Camera CW400 in markets globally. The security camera captures images in 2.5K, with a full-color night vision mode. Other features include two-way voice communications, audible and visual alarms and smart human detection app notifications.

The Xiaomi Outdoor Camera CW400 is now listed on the brand’s global site, suggesting it will soon arrive in countries worldwide. The model has a 4MP camera with an f/1.6 aperture lens, capturing images with a 2,560 x 1,440 px resolution, which Xiaomi describes as 2.5K. The gadget has a pair of built-in infrared lights and two integrated white lights, allowing full-color night vision.

The CW400, rated as IP66 water resistant, is suitable for outdoor use, operating in temperatures between -30 and 60°C (~-22 to 140°F). The device has a 113° lens angle, rotating 360° horizontally and 160° vertically for comprehensive coverage of your property. The security camera has a dual antenna for an improved Wi-Fi signal, and the gadget can intelligently notify you via the Xiaomi Home app when someone arrives, thanks to an AI human detection tool.

You can communicate with people you see on the camera with two-way voice support, and audio and lighting alarms help to deter intruders. Other features include a time-lapse photography tool, an MJA1 security chip, and local and cloud storage options. It is unclear where or when the Xiaomi Outdoor Camera CW400 will officially launch next. The gadget is already on sale in China, retailing for 299 yuan (~US$41), and to US and European customers via AliExpress for around US$87.
