Xiaomi has now presented the Xiaomi 14 Pro, a smartphone that arguably serves as the company's most advanced smartphone to date. Mirroring the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, the Xiaomi 14 Pro is Xiaomi's first smartphone with a titanium housing. However, Xiaomi's latest flagship also has a variable aperture primary camera and a 3,000-nit display, among other features.

Xiaomi has now lifted the lid on the Xiaomi 14 Pro, a smartphone that it has kept comparatively under wraps. In comparison, Xiaomi teased the Xiaomi 14 extensively in the lead up to today's event, which it has also released today. Unsurprisingly, the Xiaomi 14 Pro is a larger alternative to the Xiaomi 14, as was the case with the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 13 series.

Like the Xiaomi 14, the Xiaomi 14 Pro has the same sized display as its predecessor. Thus, the latter measures 6.73-inches across. However, Xiaomi equips the Xiaomi 14 Pro with TCL's new C8 panel, which allows it to output at 2K with 3,000 nits peak brightness and deliver 1-120 Hz variable refresh rates via an LTPO backplane. Additionally, the Xiaomi 14 Pro has noticeably thinner display bezels than the Xiaomi 13 Pro, which the company has attempted to demonstrate in the marketing images linked below.

Moreover, the Xiaomi 14 Pro features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which is configurable with up to 16 GB of RAM. Also, the handset has a 4,880 mAh battery that supports 120 W wired and 50 W wireless charging, matching its predecessor's capabilities in this regard. Surprisingly, the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro have practically identical camera systems. Hence, the latter has 50 MP primary, 50 MP ultra-wide-angle and a 75 mm telephoto cameras. Seemingly, the only major difference between the two camera systems is the Xiaomi 14 Pro's primary camera, which has an f/1.42-f/4.0 adjustable aperture.

The Xiaomi 14 Pro is already available to pre-order in China. At launch, Xiaomi charges a minimum of CNY 4,999 (~US$684) for the device, which comes with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Furthermore, the Xiaomi 14 Pro is available with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB or 1 TB of storage for CNY 5,499 (~US$753) and CNY 5,999 (~US$821), respectively. Xiaomi has not commented on a global release yet, although previous releases suggest that not all the Xiaomi 14 Pro's Black, Rock Green, White and Titanium Special Edition models will make their way outside China. For reference, the latter retails for CNY 6,499 (~US$) exclusively with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.
