The official Vivo X100 Pro image shows a large Zeiss quad camera with a 100 mm telephoto lens
The Vivo X100 recently surpassed the Xiaomi 14 equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in an AnTuTu benchmark leak - the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 should be a strong challenger for the title of the fastest Android SoC in the coming months. Now, Vivo's product manager Han Boxiao has shared the image embedded below on the Chinese social network Weibo, giving a first look at the Vivo X100 Pro's design.
Apparently, both the display and the back are rounded to the left and right sides, while the bottom features a USB-C port, speakers, and a SIM card slot. The antenna bands indicate that the frame is made of metal. The back of the shown variant is blue with a pattern reminiscent of star trails, which become visible when the night sky is photographed with an exposure time of several minutes to hours. An LED flash can be seen on the upper right edge, whose color temperature can be adjusted to the ambient light.
The highlight, however, is the huge round camera module, which proudly bears a Zeiss logo, including a T* inscription, so Zeiss' famous lens coatings are probably used. The inscription on the metal ring suggests that Vivo installs a 15 mm ultra-wide-angle camera and a 100 mm periscope telephoto camera. According to rumors, the latter relies on a 64 MP sensor on the X100 Pro, and even a 200 MP sensor on the X100 Pro+. While Vivo has not yet confirmed any details about the launch date, the leaker Digital Chat Station has already found a retailer entry, according to which the cheaper Vivo X100 with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage is to be launched for 3,999 yuan (approx. 520 Euros).
