Vivo X100 design and specs seemingly confirmed in latest leaks
The Vivo X100 series of smartphones is expected to go full Xiaomi 13 Ultra in terms of design in 2023. Then again, its take on the central round camera island is projected to be the first to come with a Zeiss logo in the middle, surrounded by 4 different lenses in a cruciform layout.
Now, a Weibo leaker claims to have gotten their hands on a real-life X100 unit, thereby apparently confirming this design choice, as well as the fact that the camera hump's external glass will curve slightly to meet a metallic surround rather than taking the usual angular glass sandwich form.
As with the freshly-released OnePlus Open, there is no room for a flash in this dome despite its size. The lens to the right of the blue square might be the main sensor, as intimated by a thin circle drawn onto the newly leaked image.
It joins a new Geekbench listing for a model number matching that of the Vivo X100 in its alleged pre-launch AnTuTu excursion. Its Dimensity 9300 platform has returned relatively strong scores, albeit not quite as Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-beating as its last benchmarking effort.
Nevertheless, this second attempt also depicts the X100 as a 16GB RAM device that boots Android 14 out of the box, thereby possibly sealing its fate as an alternative Android flagship on a debut now scheduled for later in November 2023.
